#16 Identify and describe characteristics of essential features of a product website, including visual components, navigation features, and optimization for search engines.  Create a rubric to evaluate the effectiveness of a website's design and interactive features.

1. Is anyone interested in web design?  Can you see yourself doing that as a career?
2. Let's make a list of the potential purposes of websites.
3. What are characteristics of a bad website?
4. What makes a good website?

How can we measure the effectiveness of a website?

1. Work with a partner to create a 100-point rubric to evaluate websites essential features.  
2. Then go back and score each of the above websites independently.  
3. Then you will come together to discuss how you chose your scoring and come together for one score for each website.
4. We will come together as a class to compare scores.  Be prepared to back up your scores with evidence.
